Roman von Rosenheim is a stunning 4-year-old long haired German Shepherd.(medium build) He came from a breeder as a puppy. His family found themselves in a precarious situation and are unable to keep him. He was and is a very cherished dog. The comfort we can give them is to find the best, loving home for Roman. There are so many wonderful things about him to share. He lived with a cat and a 25 pound dog. We tested him with cats and small dogs as well, and he did great. Calm and soulful, he was devoted to hise family. He was always good in the house and did what they asked of him. He was attentive to the two children, a 1 year old baby and a 10 year old. On walks, he would stay right next to them with a loose leash in his owner's hand. Roman was watchful on walks. If someone looked suspicious or another dog was getting too close, Roman would put himself in front of the mother and kids. He can be goofy and silly too. He rides well in the car and loved joining his dad in the truck for errands.  In the playgroup at the rescue, amongst some dogs with intense play styles, he just moved around sweetly, greeting other dogs. The volunteers are already head over heels in love with him. He does sound like an angel, or pretty close to it.
